I didn't like the tone of this review at all...the writer clearly isn't a fan to begin with. L.A. times suck anyway. Don't pay attention to this nonsense - you guys played a fantastic show - it meant ALOT to us fans!!
So great to meet you and the others last night after the show. Pavement's music has been a big influence on my band Chachi. Hopefully you'll listen to the CD we left for you. We want to open for you guys in Berkeley in June! Anyway, it was a fantastic show, and I didn't realize you guys played 31 songs!
I don't care what pre-conceived notion the writer had about Pavement; you guys tore the f*cking roof off of the Fox. I can't wait for Berkeley, then Hollywood. It's going to be a good summer.

Bam! Take that, Stockton! Still, sounds like you guys are really hitting it every time.

LA Times music writers have always been hacks.

And I count 29 songs on that set list. I wish it had been 30, though. Why cut "Stop Breathin"? That makes me sad; it's such a great song.
